Athiests at a religious forum

So, I've been seeing a lot of threads started by atheists that essentially assert that atheism is right and everyone else is wrong.

So, atheists, why do you come to a forum full of religious people that you're not going to convince to give up their belief in God(s) or whatever they believe in? Are you here to learn about theistic beliefs, or are you just here to proselytize your atheism and tell theists that they're stupid?

This isn't a religious forum. This is an atheist forum where atheists can come by the hundreds to condemn someone or something that they say doesn't exist.

In fact, there is another forum where if a believer registers as a believer, they are denied any posting priveleges until they have 5 posts to their creit.
So how does one get those 5 posts when they can't post without those first 5 posts? The webmaster won't answer that question either.

That is a blanket statement. I have changed my beliefs since visiting religious forum. Mostly do to atheists that have presented rational arguments and challenged doctrine that I normally never got challenged in my neck of the woods.

As usual a theist misstates the argument. It is NOT god we object to. That thing does not exist and railing against it would indeed be foolish.

Rather the problem is the BELIEF in god(s) and the actions that flow from that belief.
Christianity, as a local theist was kind enough to confirm, is about power - POLITICAL POWER. And believers in this myth are about enforcing their mythology via POLITICAL power.

THAT is why the belief in these myths matters.

Otherwise, indeed, now of us would give a r*a* what nonsense you guys chose to believe. We could and DO - care less. As long as you follow the 11th commandment.

What ignorance, yes this is an Atheist forum, that why we have the DIRs where only people of those beliefs can post in there unless it a question, that also why we have staff members of all different religious and non religious beliefs.
