.. if you tell her you want to cook for Krsna, she will definatly let you in the Kitchen,
...but then you have to cook what Krsna likes , and he does not like Onion and Garlic or mushrooms, .. and not too much Chili it will make his eyes water, ..
No chance, she will never let me enter the kitchen. I agree with avoiding onions and garlic for people on spiritual quests, but mushrooms are vegetable (well, as Dharmavyadha said, even vegetation is life). But I think, you know Krishna better. ;)

Another resolution. Like bhikkhus and sannyasis are supposed to do, I will not ask for a second helping. Whatever is put on my plate at the first time.

The onions, garlic, mushrooms etc are because of the subtle effects they have on the mind, most relevant for those establishing themselves in meditation, I think :)

Aup, I hope you tell your wife about that resolution, so she knows to put lots on there...

She will come to know (why rattle her?). I do not want lots on my plate. That will lead to either me eating more than what I need or to waste.
