OK well i don't divide Jews up by how observant, or what their perspectives of belief are, nor in fact how kosher they may or may not be, I work in a City where we only have around 20 Jewish families, considered by the Auckland congregation as somewhat outcast ... We are the Drs, Scientists, Professors, and have moved where the work is ... (We get together informally for Pesach etc.)

Now enlightened, lol i have no idea what you infer, my Study was Biblical History and Literature,
before I did Electrical, Mechanical Engineering etc ....
a "MO" ... i have no idea what the acronym stands for ... could you please elucidate ...

Mother would love that if i did, sadly not possible for me, seems the swimmers are
defective .... besides a little too late and single ...

Anyhow, i actually logged in as sunset approaches here on the 31st ...
so last day of the year and as my country of abode is the first to welcome in 2015
i thought i may be the first to wish you all Happy New Year ...

Ok, Eli....no worries...when you find a nice Jewish girl to marry....I bet you can adopt and be a wonderful papa !!!....:D.....actually, it's amazing....you are the only OJ in this forum that I get along with....life is strange...isn't it ???....and Happy 2015 to you too...lets continue our debates about the relevance of Judaism...who knows, maybe we will figure it out....and we can let the rabbis know....:D

Topic - High Incidence of Bluffers

I note a new phenomenon occurring in the forum....there now seems to be a high incidence of Bluffers....two examples are:

1) the "Einstein refutation" thread, and

2) the "new religion" thread.

Any ideas what's going on...???....is it a full moon...???....;)

Oh, i have not looked at those, i must check them out ...
I feel somewhat sorry for our Cousin Einstein, he was hoping to prove Hashem
with his equations ... My opinion is he did, but the theory E=MC2 did not quite
express the depth of understanding required ...

As to the general trend to lunacy on the planet ,,, well i am not sure we need full moon
to establish it, seems mankind needs little influence to drop into the illogical ...

Oh gosh, yes i meant to respond to this ... but along came Shabbat, when i some what
shummer ... (Orthodox ) can not reply .... So Perhaps i can now ....

Nah, i am somewhat old now to find a nice Jewish girl to marry ....
I spent most of my Energy working and study.... when i discovered that my parents could not have grandchildren .... i was apparently supposed to die young (factor 8 problems amongst other defects) ,,,

and odd that you think if we find conclusions we could teach Rabbim ;)
Had i married i would have been a Rabbi ,, i certainly studied enough ....
but perhaps my conclusions would have shocked or disheartened many Hebrews .. :rolleyes:

But yes .. it may be interesting to discern why i embrace Judaism ...

Dear friends, and loyal fans of "Avi's Thread".....indeed it is true that I have been summoned by....G-d....to make a return trip to...Ninevah....yes, and this will be a long one...a full year...round trip....I leave today...at this very moment....yes, we are off to slay some more whales...and eat the whale blubber....:D...I should mention, that we have a new ship....it's a dinghy....big enough for one, me....and the good news is.....our new ship has an internet connection....so I can read all your jokes, and birthday celebrations...!!!...see you all in 2016.....Happy New Year...!!!
