Badmouthing our country

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

Do you feel the pandemic is an excuse to badmouth our country and governors?

Just wanted to read you guys' thoughts

Enjoy
I don't think it's badmouthing the country as much as it is badmouthing our present leaders of late.

When was the last time the entire country had a 'beloved' president that we could be proud of?

Or bad mouth the people. People are bad mouthing each other quite a bit.

People already badmouthing each other is bad but then have a leader of a country badmouth a group as an example (which probably that's why others fell suit) is, well, worse. He's already begging but I would hope he wouldn't use badmouthing as a means to turn people against another to vaccinate.

It's kind of like a company CEO badmouthing some of its departments heads in order for customers to see how some of its leaders are making bad decisions then expect the costumers to continue using their services-non the less listen to the company promote their service. Bad impression.

What exactly did he say that is badmouthing? In any case, I've observed quite a bit of badmouthing coming from different political factions these past years - even before the pandemic. A lot of political discussion often degenerates into badmouthing. More is the pity.

Belittling state governors and citizens for their laws and choices at the expense of getting folks vaccinated. It's like putting down half your team but at the same time saying you want to work as a unit. Separating the vaccinated and unvaccinated (and speaking of them as different groups) but then maintaining the need to save lives. I guess it's a bit of irony, for lack of better words.

Where were you when Trump badmouthed everyone for 5 years and more?

Why not focus on the substance of President Biden's remarks about dealing with the resurgent pandemic?

Why are you calling accurate descriptions of death cult governors and others "bad mouthing"?

Are we confusing criticism or critique with badmouthing?

Badmouthing seems to me to be an act of unjustified complaint.

Per definition, it would be badmouthing. Criticism a synonym. I wonder if there's a better way to disagree with some of the governors' decisions without discrediting them to highlight the vaccinated.

Separating the vaccinated and unvaccinated is exactly how you control a highly contagious disease. It worked for polio, measles, and smallpox. Maybe you find it unpleasant due to your investment in your decision not to get vaccinated, but science and medical facts don't care about people's feelings or ideologies.

I was surfing YouTube and listening to our VA governor about vaccine updates and came across a couple of videos on Biden begging people to vaccinate. While I don't care for politics since it's always pointing fingers but it does say something when a president (regardless who it is) badmouths its own governors to belittle unvaccinated while begging and maintaining working together (Separate but equal) to stop the pandemic.

Not sure about Trump. Just focused on the message, expression, and intent.

The video clip (the numbers mentioned) was focused on Biden badmouthing the governors and unvaccinated. The idea here is the division between unvaccinated and vaccinated and the question was: Do you feel the pandemic is an excuse to badmouth our country and governors?

No separate but equal. Least I hope not.

Then you could have used criticism instead of badmouthing in your title, which would be less badmouthing of Biden. So, irony at work.

Well it's apparent that the USA has a set of governors who not only aren't helping by following public health advisors, but causing even MORE harm to society as a whole with blatant political policies.

I don't know what Biden said, and I'm not inclined to watch an 18-minute video just for one thread. However, I find him to be a tool and just as much of an ideologue as many Republican politicians. That's beside the point I was making, which is that it is incorrect to say that separating vaccinated and unvaccinated people is somehow something new or bad. There's a reason a lot of vaccines are mandatory for children now, and it isn't ideology or some mysterious desire to "badmouth" the unvaccinated.

Any governors who refuse to follow precautionary measures advised by medical experts, such as masking and social distancing, are part of the problem and should be called out as incompetent. Biden shouldn't "badmouth" such people; he should replace them if he can.
