Christians tend to be dualists, because they make Satan into a second god practically. But Judaism doesn't do this. For us, Satan is God's employee, who can only do what God allows. There is but one ultimate power--God. That's not dualism.

If I would have gone against my boss I would have lost my job, my position as an employee.
" employee" Satan forsook his assigned position according to Ezekiel 28:13-17.
But God allowed Satan's challenge at Job 2:4-5 that to touch Job's flesh (loose physical health) and he would Not serve God.
And by way of extension Satan also challenges all of us that under adverse conditions we also would Not serve God.
Both Job and Jesus under suffering conditions proved Satan a liar and so can we.

That's not true. Every time I obey is a time I obey. And if I stumble, I repent. The demarcation between the rightous and unrighteous is not whether the righteous are perfect, but whether they repent when they fall.

Proverbs 24:16 For a righteous man falleth seven times, and riseth up again, But the wicked stumble under adversity.

I believe repentance is necessary for salvation but the fact is that one is not saved from sin by it. So the repentance is hollow since the person goes on sinning.
