I'm sceptical of this movie. But I'll still watch it. Perhaps it will surprise me... I'm just not sure about Ben Afflic as Batman.

And I just realized I might have done a little necromancy here xD.

Just going to say it. I don't know much of anything about Ben Affleck, but he honestly looks fine in the suit, and sounded fine when he spoke (or would have if it hadn't been amplified).

So I honestly don't understand what the problem is. Remember what Michael Keaton was known for before becoming the definitive live-action Batman? Or heck, remember the skepticism surrounding Heath Ledger as the Joker?

I'm still not terribly hopeful for this film because it looks dark-for-dark's-sake, rather than just telling a good story and letting it be dark if it turns dark, or allowing it to be fun if it turns out fun. I don't like dark-for-dark's-sake, and especially in the context of superheroes. Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy worked because it was good storytelling and characterization (even if the third film was kinda weak by comparison, but I still loved it for what it was), not because the stories were dark. 'Sides, Batman's the only DC hero I know of for whom dark works well. I believe Superman should be fun and happy, with lots of hope and wonder. I seriously disliked Man of Steel because it was so uneccessarily dark (and so obviously made with "creative" input from the US military). I know it's hard to tell stories about Superman, but it's not impossible. At least be true to the feel of the Superman Theme (John Williams', that is). Heck, even Superman Returns did that much, and so yes, though I only saw it once long ago, I remember it being a better movie.

And as for the others I've seen thus far... I'm seriously worried about how they'll depict Wonder Woman, Spirit of Truth and hyper-compassionate butt-kicker, and I'm none too pleased with that colorless picture of Khal Drogo Aquaman they put out. Aquaman's opening story in New 52 was absolutely fantastic, single-handedly making the King of Atlantis a favorite of mine, and it wasn't terribly dark.

I'm not enthused about Ben Affleck playing Batman but I love Henry Cavill as Superman.

You guys are all wet!
It'll be as great as the Green Hornet.

I don't know, I just have a hard time to see Ben Affleck as Batman. Something about him makes it weird. But... he might surprise me. Hopefully.

It might just be that it feels weird to watch Ben as Batman after the previous Batman movies, lol.
