Beard thread!

So iam now trying to grow my beard since end of April. It goes slow. On right and left sides there are some hair. In the middle its almost empty.
Iam suffering from extreme version of Patches!!!

How about you?

I get the opposite! Plenty in the middle. Little to nothing on cheeks.

The hair along my jawbone grows quite a bit longer than the hair on the underside, of my jaw. And my beard at its longest point doesn't grow longer than 5 or 6 inches. There are so many beards in my community, that there's always someone worse than me, though!

My father developed a pretty thick beard by his mid-twenties or so. So I am in wait.

It's probably some kind of blasphemy, but I'm clean-shaven. My hair is long, though, so there's that. But I don't grow facial hair well, nor do I like it. Maybe (if) I'm 70 or so I'll have a grandfatherly Odin-beard..

How are your guys' beards going now?

I sometimes feel sad that I will never get to experience a beard. I am growing out my armpit hair though. I've not shaved it in a month or two. It looks so sexy. It's probably over half an inch long by now.

I usually keep a light one in this style (whatever it is called):

I cant offer much here. I'm 48 and have never grown a beard or mustache. I dont even like the feel of any stubble on my face. Can a guy get electrolysis on his face?
