So, every few months, someone with a license, brings a dog to sniff my room out.
They say the dog is sniffing for "bed bugs".
Beings that many of the people I live with are drug users, i have to wonder if the dog is trained to sniff out drugs as well.
Do you think the dog is actually sniffing for drugs?
I'm surprised dogs are trained to sniff out bed bugs. Ive had bed bugs before and they don't have any detectable odor until after you squish them.
I'm grateful I don't have such a sensitive sense of smell.
I sometimes eat meals with homeless people who smell like they don't bathe. So, having such a sensitive sniffer sounds like it would make life more difficult... and destroy my appetite.
But it is quite remarkable that a dog can sniff out bed bugs (or drugs for that matter).
Anyone here ever got paid to train dogs to sniff things out? Sounds like a great job imo.
