Best Part of Atheism

I can't say that the mere fact of being an atheist is in itself a "satisfaction." However, I suppose that the freedom to follow the evidence when trying to learn new things, rather than having some roads cut off for fear of being out of alignment with some dogma or other.

Look at any of the multitude of threads on Evolution, for example. Or try to really examine the true history of any of the religions on this planet, without being stymied by the need to accept some myth or other as literal truth, evidence be damned.

Best part of atheism? Atheist babes are hot! For instance, @Audie -- most definitely hot and, I might add, conveniently sized to fit a Miata sports car. Or, @ChristineM -- so hot that an entire troupe of Las Vegas acrobats once requested copies of the posts she's made in the Eros Room for their "home study", as they called it.

Quick check Google to see what is this miata thing I'm to fit into.

Religions sure can cripple the mind.

Having your Sunday mornings free?

Gosh, I loved Sunday mornings as an atheist kid. My Dad took it off as a family day. Seems we always did something entertaining, like fishing, drives, pick-up baseball or hockey. Likely my favorite half-day of the week.

Many years ago...I started a thread.
The Bright Side of Atheism.
:)

The bright side of Atheism
I believe the bright side is about self-determination and free will...
religion can be detrimental and harm the psychological growth of a person, often unwillingly.

We sure see it ruin minds here on RF
tho bedtimes they were already crippled before
religion served the coup d.

Hey, I don't want you guys to feel left out.

What brings you the greatest satisfaction with identifying as atheist? Having your Sunday mornings free? Something else?

What would you feel your worldview could stand to improve upon?

Ha. Cute.

I wouldn't know any good or bad things of not believing in gods since I never believed them in order to know the difference.

However, I can speak of religion in general. I'm a free bird. I like some structure but I found I have more connection and freedom when that structure is an option of practice not a necessity. Maybe in the future when I have a strong connection with family, I may go to that next step with a structured religion but for now, I just like being free.

I have a boat load of things I need to improve on. Don't know where to start on that.
