Agreed. Also, it will somehow be the fault of the United States. It was the first thing I saw when I got up this morning. Discouraging. I'm not a great admirer of hers, but it doesn't bode well for Pakistan.
I'm sorry, I realise you're only young (and trust me, I've moderated this post because of that) but by saying,'She brought it on herself' you're making it sound justified. What exactly justifies an assassination, do you think? Did Martin Luther King perhaps bring it upon himself as well? Probably he did really, by not sitting at home in the kitchen having a nice cup of tea instead of going out an ******* people off. JFK should have expected to end up with his brains all over his wife's frock by going around in an open car, and Lincoln most assuredly deserved a hole in the head for going to the theatre. Do rape victims bring it upon themselves by walking down a dark street at night in a short skirt, do you think? Or does it take extra effort to bring it upon yourself, do you think? Perhaps going out with a guy you've known half your life and then not wanting to have sex after he's bought you dinner?Pakistan is in a right state. But she brought it upon her self.

No-one deserves to have their lives cut short in a violent fashion, just because someone doesn't like who they are or what they stand for.
What about the other 20 people that were killed? Did they bring it on themselves as well? :sarcastic
Im not sayign she deserved it, AT ALL. She didnt deserve it. After the suicide attack in Karachi she should have taken it as a sign. There were also letters sent to her saying that women would get close and kill her too. She should have been wary. She knew her husband used to take money out of the country, she knew the people didnt like that. She should have really thought about her status among the suicide bombers.
Im sorry she died, its not like i wanted her to die, where the hell did that come from? Dont put words into my mouth.
Quoth didn't put words into your mouth. What you said was offensive. And what you're saying now is too. Do you really think she wasn't wary??? Give me a break.
How was it offensive?
She obviously was not wary enough.
You really need to stop.
How was it offensive?
I will come to your defense Lord Penguino. I think Nutshell is off base here. OBVIOUSLY, there was a lapse in her security; therefore it is truthful to say that she was not wary enough. Frankly, if I was her, I would have expected suicide bombers and mad gunpersons behind every corner as she has a polarizing personality in her country; much like Hillary has in the good ol' U.S. of A.She obviously was not wary enough.

Quite often political leaders eschew "heavy" defense for many reasons.
1. There want to be seen as a person OF the people who can walk around like everyone else. The only problem with this is that is not conducive to longevity, given current political realities.
2. Heavy protection can be very intrusive as Security calls the shots, no pun intended, and the politician is like a protected jewel.
3. This IS Pakistan we are talking about and there is every possibility someone in her Security detail was in on the assassination. Indira Gandhi ring a bell here?
Aside from this she has already spoken out on the subject of Extremist or Radical Muslims and vowed to clamp down on them. That probably got her the death sentence right there as I rather expect the Radical Muslims would not have been very understanding of her aims. Security should have been tightened in EXPECTATION of reprisals for her comments.
I guess it is reasonable to assume that her killers think that nothing says "Allah Akbar" better than a suicide bomb belt and a couple of bullets. No wonder Musharef is trying to turn power over to someone else. :sad4:
People are not wary of a lot of things......that does not necessarily mean that they brought their misfortune upon themselves.penguino said:She obviously was not wary enough.
I am shocked but i can't say surprised.
Thoughts anyone?
