They been talking about climate change since the mid 80s.
One thing though, I do like how the late Carl Sagon explained the topic as it relates to the greenhouse effect.
A must view weither one agrees with the veracity of climate changes or not. He was an amazing orator and can put it eloquently in layman's terms so well.
As a side note, it's a shame how government was run then vs now.
