Big Bang, Deflated? Universe May Have Had No Beginning

Ben, I am very interested in Multiverses and think perhaps we may find evidence, but so far that has not been the case and the other problem is finding a solution to QM theory on the small scale and cosmology on a large scale to totally match and that has not been accomplished yet.
And that problem isn't going to be solved until science as a whole can agree on the omnipresent space vacuum energy density state. GR imho will not endure and some new theory for the macro universe will emerge taking into account the QM stance on the vacuum.

Yes, I hope they figure out the "Vacuum catastrophe."

This is brand new on QM.

The only Enterprise In Space hit I had was the NSS project of that name {and btw, coincidentally, I was the treasurer of the Queensland Chapter of the Australian NSS many moons ago).

So can you provide us with your company's website?

That is the project and we are not a company we are an NSS Project. You may know some people I do from NSS then, like Kirby?

Like all electromagnetic radiation in existence, it is the result of some sort of EM radiation generation process, and in this case it is the omnipresent EM radiation as measured in the microwave portion of the EM spectrum.....remember QM has also discovered that EM radiation is omnipresent in decreasing wavelengths to the infinitesimally small of the vacuum zpe, so it is not unique.

Since this a Science and Religion forum....here are a list of concepts that are all described as being omnipresent...

CMB/R Astronomy, GR
Vacuum ZPE Science, QM
Spirit Religion
Higg's Field Particle Physics
Aether Science, Metaphysics
Dark Energy Astronomy, Science

Seems to me that the different disciplines are all describing the omnipresence through the filter of their respective specialization, and the result is like the story of the blind men describing the elephant...I presume you are familiar with it..

The CMB started out as ordinary light.

Scientific American

When this cosmic background light was released billions of years ago, it was as hot and bright as the surface of a star. The expansion of the universe, however, has stretched space by a factor of a thousand since then. The wavelength of the light has stretched with it into the microwave part of the electromagnetic spectrum

They thought they had detected Gravitational waves in the CMB, but it turn out to be dust.

Really....small world, I met Kirby Ikin soon after I joined the Qld Chapter when he visited Brisbane. He was president of the NSW chapter I think at that time.

He is on my Board of advisers for space flight insurance. Yes it is a small world. I have people on the Team from NASA, Sloan Digital Sky survey, Yerkes Observatory, UCLA astrophysics, and many more.

You know Lynne? On the NSS Education side?

Have you ever seen this

"The Known Universe takes viewers from the Himalayas through our atmosphere and the inky black of space to the afterglow of the Big Bang. Every star, planet, and quasar seen in the film is possible because of the world's most complete four-dimensional map of the universe, the Digital Universe Atlas that is maintained and updated by astrophysicists at the American Museum of Natural History. The new film, created by the Museum, is part of an exhibition, Visions of the Cosmos: From the Milky Ocean to an Evolving Universe, at the Rubin Museum of Art in Manhattan through May 2010. "

Yes, space insurance was his day job back then when I was involved, he headed a space insurance department of GIO, the NSW State Government Insurance Office in Australia before he left for Washington as president of NSS. I am well past being physically active in any thing these days, so I haven't been involved for yonks...I thought he had returned to Australia at some point, is he back in the US?

Ah so...then you are Mr Shawn Case....no Shawn, I am not active now and live in Australia, so I am not familiar with Lynne or anyone else on the team....Our Team | Enterprise In Space

But thank you for the good work you are doing...space is the future...unfortunately there is little activity or interest in Australia...the greens and lefties are not into it, and the msm generally is pretty green and left as is the state education systems.

He's in Australia, but still comes to the US. The NSS ISDC is in Toronto this year and I think but am not sure he might be going to it.

Yes Shawn, I know about the red shift, but whilst this phenomenon is real, there are other ways red shift can occur....have you ever read any of astronomer Halton Arp's work? His work shows the possibility of other mechanisms at work...his original discovery was, until now ignored by orthodox BB science as it raises questions....

I doubt he would remember me (btw, I forgot to mention the year I joined and met Kirby...1992), but the d in my user name is for Douglas....

But Ben, that is not about redshift or blueshift, that is a heat signature map of the universe BEFORE ANY STARS OR GALAXIES to cause any redshift or blueshift. Its light frozen in time, released 13.88 billion years ago, the patterns show where the galaxies are today, it is and is excepted as the light from the big bang. Again its also the era of recombination.

The first press release in 2003 for Wmap and Planck shows even finer detail as we know.

"The light we see today, as the cosmic microwave background, has traveled over 13 billion years to reach us. Within this light are infinitesimal patterns that mark the seeds of what later grew into clusters of galaxies and the vast structure we see all around us.

Patterns in the big bang afterglow were frozen in place only 380,000 years after the big bang, a number nailed down by this latest observation. These patterns are tiny temperature differences within this extraordinarily evenly dispersed microwave light bathing the universe, which now averages a frigid 2.73 degrees above absolute zero temperature. WMAP resolves slight temperature fluctuations, which vary by only millionths of a degree.

Theories about the evolution of the universe make specific predictions about the extent of these temperature patterns. Like a detective, the WMAP team compared the unique "fingerprint" of patterns imprinted on this ancient light with fingerprints predicted by various cosmic theories and found a match."

WMAP 1 Year Mission Results Press Release

I know some of astronomer Halton Arp's work and that he works with Hubble. But again that map isn't a redshift or blueshift. Its temperatures.

We also know for a fact the universe is expanding, stretching.

George Smoot was the head of the Wmap team.

George Smoot: The design of the universe

At Serious Play 2008, astrophysicist George Smoot shows stunning new images from deep-space surveys, and prods us to ponder how the cosmos -- with its giant webs of dark matter and mysterious gaping voids -- got built this way.

Planck maps the dawn of time - space

"Scientists have traced a unique new map of the first light of the universe, and raised profound questions about the Big Bang. The image of the cosmic microwave background they have released was taken by ESA's Planck satellite, and its results could have a significant impact on the field of cosmology.

The link is broken but the piece that is quoted is implying that the light of the original BB event has been red shifted from the light portion at that time to the microwave portion of the EM spectrum today and measured as CMBR....

Sorry here is the link

Infinite Nothingness
At least this will make atheists understand how God is infinite and has no beginning

Actually it will help all people understand how spacetime is infinite and has no beginning. Still no hope for God in this world, at least not the way most people think of "God".

There certainly is no beginning, but there is logic as to why existence is as it is. And that logic defines not a beginning of spacetime, but a beginning reason for spacetime.
