Blinking is a sin in Christianity

I think it might be a sin to blink according to Christianity. There is a quote in the bible that goes along something like:

"For God looked upon his creation of the world once and saw that it was good."

So anybody who looks upon the world twice (blinks) would be committing a sin. You are supposed to keep your eyes strapped open 24/7 and even while you are asleep. You are supposed to also give this prayer to God:

"Dear Lord, your creation of the world and universe is the greatest gift of all. I do not dare look upon it twice. I will look upon it only once like you have, O' Lord, and see that it is good my whole entire life."

If you continue to blink, then according to Christianity, I think you would go to hell. If you continue to blink, then it clearly says in the bible that you are better off plucking your eyes out because it is better to enter heaven blind than to enter hell having sight.

I am thinking psychological problems perhaps.
But I did not mean the phrase "cannot live without" in that joke literally. I meant that quoted phrase as a figure of speech. We see that figure of speech all the time when people say they cannot live without their fancy cars, riches, fancy jewelry, etc. So that joke was not nonsense that only a crazy mentally ill person would come up with. It was a valid joke since that quoted phrase was only meant to be taken figuratively.

That figure of speech denotes an attachment to something that is vital to a person. If a person is attached to videogames, then he/she would say "I cannot live without my videogames" as a figure of speech.

"Look upon it twice" means doubt not actually blinking or looking.

Question god and you go to hell, type of thing. Has nothing to do with actual blinking.

Had to read it again in context.

It seems that your cultural references are a bit foreign to people here.

I live in the United States. So maybe people who live there would get that cultural reference. That figure of speech denotes an attachment to something that is vital to a person. If a person is attached to videogames, then he/she would say "I cannot live without my videogames" as a figure of speech.

Your heart is a vital organ. You need it to live. Your brain is also a vital organ since you need it to live. But the penis is also a vital organ since a man cannot live without his porn.
I have no idea what this has to do with the thread, but I like it. In my case, woman cannot live without that organ either!

What? Me worry?

Glad you clarified this; I haven't dared closed my eyes since I read the OP.
