Boss of National Enquirer given immunity for testimony:

National Enquirer boss and longtime Trump friend David Pecker gets immunity in Michael Cohen case

Another domino falls. This man appears to confirm Cohen's claims:

"Details of the agreement were not immediately known. But the Journal reported earlier Thursday that American Media Inc. Chairman David Pecker had given prosecutors details about the president's knowledge of payments Cohen made to women alleging affairs with Trump."

It appears more and more that the one way we know something is true is when Trump denies it.

So Trump knew about payments to women. So what? I truly do not understand your point.

We know that he lies all the time about almost everything. So on the surface this is indeed nothing new.

But those who got all in a tizzy about Bill Clinton's misdeeds should now go back and say "he really did nothing wrong - it was only a sex act". And, of course going back even further to Nixon, the operative questions are what evidence is linking Trump to criminal acts.

That evidence to me is key and each new development is painting a clearer and clearer picture.

Trump broke campaign finance laws in an attempt to "influence" the 2016 election, buying the women's silence before the vote.

"[He] knowingly and willfully made and caused to be made a contribution … in excess of the limits of the Election Act … to a woman to ensure that she did not publicize damaging allegations before the 2016 presidential election and thereby influence that election."

52 U.S. Code § 30116 – Limitations on contributions and expenditures

Trump Broke The Law. Plain and simple, and now he's going to hang for it.

That tells us that his current statements are a lie, that his past statements are a lie. That he broke campaign financing laws.

It is amazing that Trump fan boys have so much trouble understanding the consequences of Trump's actions.

Actually if you guys knew what you were talking about you realize the law also says that a candidate can give as much as their money as they want to their campaigns. So if Trump (or any candidate) gave one dollar more than was paid out there is no violation (not that there was one to begin with). I almost feel sorry for you haters to the point that I find myself hoping you find something substantial to justify your anguish.

Yes, he can. But it has to be reported. He did not do so. He broke the law plain and simple. And if anyone is a "hater" it is you. An inability to deal with reality is often due to deeply seated psychological issues. Let's avoid the name calling.

Does you religion, Buddhistic Panenthetic Jesusonian, tell you that it is permissible for a President to lie to the public?

Does you religion, Buddhistic Panenthetic Jesusonian, tell you that you should respect a President who lies to the public?

Does your own sense of morality tell you that you should defend liars?

I think they grasp the situation just fine. They aren't stupid. They just don't care and won't care unless he's shown to have done something that threatens his presidency.

Turn on the news, RW media like Rush and Fox clearly aren't letting you in on pertinent information. Google it, don't be lazy. Study after study show RW media viewers to be the least informed. It's because they don't want you knowing information you're not supposed to know.

I heard Rush today propagandizing the vulnerable audience about so much nonsense and lies. Telling people the Dossier was fake, completely unverified, filled with lies, etc. Hannity says the same thing. These are entertainers making a buck by speaking 'conservative.'

These republican elitists aren't your friends. Rush is very good at his skill.

Can you imagine if Obama was paying off hookers running for president and lied about it after the fact? Even when it's confirmed. lmao.

Oh man, this is some good stuff going on. There's so many problematic things going on these days, RW media is about to give up. They can't keep up with the spin. Too many stories, too many things to try to spin

Rush, Tucker and Hannity sure are sounding a bit irritated these days.

As I was glancing at headlines earlier today, I saw one that referred to him as "National Enquirer Chief Pecker."

I can just imagine the jokes that must float around that office: "Hey, you gotta go see the Chief Pecker." Considering the seamy nature of the case, having someone named "Pecker" involved in it has a certain level of humor.

But on a more serious note, it does look like another domino has fallen. I'm not sure if or how it will affect the entire process of impeachment, as that seems more like a numbers game and a political gambit.

It's almost as if this coming election will be a scorecard to determine who in Congress will be for or against Trump. Trump himself has become the central campaign issue of the midterm elections.

When this is settled, should this bring impeachment to Trump I'll explain to why I'm going to laugh my *** off so very hard. If Trump is impeached, it looks like it will be over a lie, to the wrong people, the same thing that got Clinton impeached. And because Trump and his flock of Trumpers are still obsessed with Hillary and Bill, the irony of Trump being "Clintoned out of office" will be too much for me to keep a straight face.

You might want to go back and look at why Clinton was impeached.

Clinton was impeached primarily for lying under oath. That's why Trump will never go under oath. He knows he can lie all he wants to and the sheeples won't care.

What do you think that Clinton was impeached for? It wasn't for sex with Monica. Nor will Trump be impeached for sex with people that he should not have been messing with either.

They had an economist who works for the DOJ explain this on Fox or CNN, I forget which. Essentially this proves Trump committed a campaign violation act, although while he is President he cannot be charged. The same guy pointed out that when Trump (via Giuliani) admitted paying Cohen back he committed a second felony. I'm not completely sure of the law, but apparently there's a tax form you have to file that lists these repayments, and the repayment to Cohen isn't listed on Trump's. Again, he can't be charged until he's out of office.

I'm pretty sure you're the one who needs to do this because it was a lie that lead to him being impeached, not because an intern slobbering on his knocker.
