Damn, I'm having a hard time thinking up a name for my second band. Rockabilly bands are hard to name.

Awww, you can edit it in later when the perfect one pops into your head! :) :jam:

Build A Band

Here’s your chance to put together your own elite fantasy band to perform the music of your dreams. Who would you pick for your personal band? You can use any person from any time in music history…!

Choices:

1-2 Singers (one lead singer, one back-up vocalist)
1-2 Guitarists (one electric lead, one rhythm or one acoustic)
1 Bassist
1-2 Drummers or a Percussionist
1 Keyboardist/Synth Player (Optional)
1-3 Horn Section (Optional)
1-3 String Section (Optional)

You must name your band and tell us what kind of music they would play….can be a combination of styles.

just so everyone knows, most of you probably wont like my band... so blame Buttercup for putting me up to it ;)

Name: Can't Remember
(then people would say, "what's the name of that band?" and "Can't Remember" would be the reply... ENDLESS hours of confusion ;) )

We'd play probably alternative music...

Singer -- Elias Soriano (from band Nonpoint, cause its unique)
Backup -- Jessi Golden (from local band With These Words, we needed a woman's touch)

guitar -- Jimi Hendrix

bassist -- Flea ....why? just cause! :D

drummer -- Mike Portnoy (i havent seen anyone play drums like him!)

... can i replace keyboard with piano? Billy Joel if i can... (.... I wouldnt ask...)

String section: AL!!!! *hugs* and...
my cousins April and Mike, Stina, my friend Veronica.... (well, this would be a "work in progress" type of section... o.0 )

Yes, Ashley...you may substitute keyboard for piano...I should go edit that in!

And your band sounds awesome! I was going to choose Flea as well but I thought he and Tommy Morello would kick the crap outta the band so I toned it down with John Entwistle! :D

To Chris and Becky:

Why on Earth would you want me in your band?

You've never even heard me play! (And believe me, you don't want to) :D

I'm sure you are wonderful, besides, I like you, we get along, I wouldn't want someone in a band I wouldn't get along with!

C-1....I'm lovin' your punk band! Whooooot! I wanna HEAR 'em!

Why thank you, hehe. I gotta say though, your's sounds pretty rocking as well. No one's got a voice like Chris Cornell. Man, I love his voice.

Bwahahaha! I guess when it comes to music, I'm kind of easy to read, eh? :p Just like I knew, Chrispy, that you'd pick, at the very least, one member from Tool, hehehe <3

I'll take your word for it :p

I don't know. I know SO many people who love them, but I just can't get into them. At all... not that I've really tried, haha

Singer: Roger Daultrey (The Who)
Guitarists: Jimi Hendrix & Slash (Guns N' Roses)
Bassist: Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Drums: Kieth Moon (The Who)
Keyboard: Geddy Lee (Rush)

The singer was chosen mainly for prefference. It's no argument that Freddie Mercury is the greatest singer of all time, but for a rock band (the only band I'd start), I'd preferr Daultrey. :)

I blame the lead singer for turning a lot of people off... love his voice, but just too damn conceited and self-centric with the lyrics. There's a certain amount of theatre to them too ;)

I think you might like a couple of tracks off the new one. Heard any Meshuggah before? pretty thrashy odd rhythm'd metal.

Yeah, I contemplated using Freddie as well but his style just didn't fit in with my band....and Roger Daultrey is an excellent choice! Flea is THE MAN!....heck, your whole band is friggin awesome

Don't forget to name it!

Nope, I've heard of them, but never heard them. I'm not much for metal, unless it's Glam-y Metal (like my darlings Psychotic 4 </obsession>). I'll check them out though, on your recommendation.

You know, Chrispy, you have to come visit me in Canada. I bet you'd be wicked fun to go to a show with.

I'll definitely have to make it to Canada though! Know any cute GIRL lead singers :p

Doll, I've been hitting up mosh pits since I was 13 (that's 12 years  I feel old!), and I've gone home with a lot worse injuries than just an elbow to the face, believe me, I can handle my own ;)

Yeah, but that's only because you guys don't get shows out there like we do here. You'd be in heaven at the shows that come my way. It's great.

And as a matter of fact, I do know cute girl lead singers :p Hey, you can have the girlfriend of my cute boy lead singer, she plays bass in a band, hahahahahaha!

Oh, I completely agree! There's not much in this world that's hotter than a chick playing the bass (unless it's a cute glam rock boy in leather pants... ok, off topic :p).

No worries here, doll, I know what I'm in for. I'm sure I can handle you just fine ;) hehehe
