I am leaving the forum because of the high degree of dislike towards muslims, because of the personal insults i received and due to the overwhelming tension and oppression i was beginning to feel, because of that almost personal insult that i spoke to someone last night. It was my limit.

I hope somewhere in the forum rules it is stated soon, that this forum is only for native speakers of english. It was brought to my attention at least three times and it is hoped i am belittled by it, too.

I would like to thank my friends who made my time worthwhile here, who gave me a smile, a new way of think, who had broad and generous hearts. I will miss some of you real much. I hope to see you somewhere in eternity.

Have you tried the following:
1) Put people that insult you on ignore.
2) Report insults to Staff.
3) Post in the Islam DIR

I think doing these things should eliminate or reduce the problems.

There are not enough Muslims or Jews in this forum. We need to keep the ones we have.

Don't let the abusive ones here get to you. Rest a bit, please return when the bad taste
wears off. Some posters are best avoided, & dealing with them is a learned technique.
I'm not alone in wanting you to stay.

It really gets easier. I have lots'o people on me enemies list, but they don't bother me.

Most Americans don't speak but one language so we have no right to criticize your efforts. You are quite proficient in English and I think you should be proud of yourself.

From what I can see, there's only a small fraction of people here with an anti-Islamic agenda, so my recommendations are the same as Avi's above. I truly hope you reconsider and stay.

Personal insults are a mainstay of RF. If people reported each and every insult the admin's and mod's mailboxes would blow to smithereens. Putting people on ignore is the best suggestion, imo. I can only see three people on RF and you're one of them. Lucky you!

Sorry to see you leave, ametist. I also hope that you come back. If you wish you avoid the questionable people, I recommend staying away from teh debate sections; they are the most prone to conflict.

I specifically make a point to stay away from the debates sections because they are awful mires of awfulness.
