Perhaps this is the wrong place to ask, but if Jesus isn't Jehovah, who is?
the true God and the most high is JEHOVAH
That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah,
You alone are the Most High over all the earth.PSALM 83;18 And this true God Jehovah is the one that gave Jesus great aurthority when he gave Jesus the kingship , Jesus is the one with the legal right to the throne of David . and Jehovah who is also called (The ancient of days) gave Jesus great aurthority ...Daniel 7;13-14 and this all happened in the heavens in 1914 when Jesus recieved his legal right to the kingship.
(Ezekiel 21:26, 27) yes 1914 was the end of the appointed times of the nations ,
. (Luke 1:32, 33) there has not been a king on Gods throne since 607 b.c.e. but now Jesus is a reigning king , in Gods heavenly kingdom goverment Daniel 2;44 yes its all happening in this time that we are living in. Jesus is a reigning king and his father JEHOVAH gave the kingship to the one with the legal right to it . we are living in the PRESENCE of the son of man Jesus christ . its all happening since 1914 , that was the START of the last days, the last days of man ruling himself independant of God . soon Jesus will go into action , and then it will be the end of manmade goverments and only Gods heavenly kingdom with Jesus ruling it will be left .Yes the true God Jehovah has it all in hand, and it is all happening according to his purpose......................JESUS IS NOW A REIGNING KING . i am welcoming this reigning king along with a GREAT CROWD of others from all nations and this great crowd from all nations, know who to thank for this now reigning king .REVELATION 7;9-10 These ones from all nations recognize that Jehovah is the true God ,and we are waving our symbolic palm branches to welcome Jesus as the now reigning king of Gods kingdom. so as we can see, Jesus is not God , he is Gods son . and that is what Jesus himself taught .
(John 3:35) The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

I was under the impression they believe he is the Archangel Gabriel.
many things are happening since Jesus was given his legal right to the kingship Daniel 7;13-14, as soon as he took up that kingship he got to work to throw out of heaven all of those in opposition to Gods purpose . Jesus sure is a warrior king, it is no good having rebels in a goverment so the thing Jesus did was get rid of them , and only the faithful angels are left in heaven . and they are working inline with Jesus and doing his will . its no good having rebels in a goverment , so Jesus as a warrior king cast them out of the heavens.
And war broke out in heaven: Mi´cha·el

Meaning "Who Is Like God?" Gr., Mi·kha·el´.
and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. And I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
"Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God! REVELATION 12;7-10

  1. Isaiah 40:3
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Isaiah 40:2-4 (in Context) Isaiah 40 (Whole Chapter)
  2. Matthew 3:3
For this (Jesus) is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
Isaiah said prepare ye the way of the Lord, and John said Jesus is who Isaiah spoke of, so Jesus is the Lord Jehovah.

I always, and deliberately, just say Orthodox because it inevitably causes follow up questions, which means that I get to do one of my favourite things - discuss religion. Most of the time, the questions will be mistaking Orthodoxy with Judaism (simply because everyone's already familiar with Orthodox Jews) but when someone is a little more familiar, they'll ask something like 'Oh, is that like Greek Orthodox?', which gives me an opportunity to dispell some of the misconceptions regarding ethnicity and Orthodoxy. When someone is really familiar with Orthodoxy (which is unusual unless they're Orthodox themselves) they'll inevitably ask me which church I'm in, which then gives me a chance to talk about the distinctives of the Romanian church. I did used to say that I was a Romanian Orthodox Christian, but now it's just Orthodox because the more vague answer generates more interesting conversations. The only exception would be if I'm asked at hospital or the like, when they aren't interested in conversations - then I'm Romanian Orthodox or whichever other local church happens to appear on their computer system (strangely that's usually both Russian and Greek, treated as though they are two different faiths, even though they aren't).
I usually said "Greek Orthodox," and that usually started a conversation, anyway. ("Oh. That's like Catholic, isn't it?") In South Carolina, if you say you're Orthodox, people assume you're Jewish. If you say you're Christian, they assume you're Evangelical.

Here in the deep south, you are usually asked "where do you go to church?" which will usually answer most questions. The majority of people here tend to be southern Baptist and Methodist, and if given a name of a church they arent familer with, they will give you that ..."...huh?" ....look . When I answer St. Johns, I get the look twice as they try and decide if it's Catholic or Methodist. And then I explain that it's Episcopal, and get the third "...huh?..." of the conversation.
