Callous but not Heartless

Hi,
I have chosen my name from Ambrose Bierce, 1911 The Devil's Dictionary.
CALLOUS, adj.
Gifted with great fortitude to bear the evils afflicting another.
For those who may not know of this literature it began in weekly paper in 1881.
My beliefs have shifted over the years. I was raise in a southern Baptist atmosphere, was baptized a Baptist then again as a Mormon. In the late sixties I became a US Marine and became disillusioned with organized religion.
I believe in a living cosmos where everything is connected.

I was going to the church five years before I was baptized in 1965 in Redlands, Calif. I had just turned 16 years old. I remained with the church until 1969 and going to Vietnam. So all in all about 8 years.

Thank you ,between the Marines, Baptists, Mormons, and Timothy Leary I found the channels that lead me to a belief in a living Universe.
