Can a literal Genesis creation story really hold up?

mythology has never said anything.

and you cannot prove anything at all outside mythology

While I can prove what is stated in genesis is factual mythology.

"Factual mythology". Like truthful lies? Or real fakes? Nice contradiction in terms.

I think your confusing your terms.

I you cannot prove anything 'outside' of mythology....then mythology is all that you CAN prove.

And if mythology is factual.....

Actually, much of Genesis fits reality, ... if you throw out traditional interpretations and read the Bible carefully, instead.

False

You are known to pervert text.

It is factually mythology and any attempt to place it in reality is futile and perverted.

You mean read it in a post hoc manner fitting verses into scientific explanation? Sure if you want to use fallacious reasoning go ahead but you are not going to convince people that can critically think.

I have no problem blending science into Genesis.

What's holding you back?

Did you say ...logic?

And God said to the angels....Man is less, therefore stride after him and see to it, that he stub not his toe, nor dash his head.

On third of heaven say...nay.
That Man is less, he should be made to serve us.

There's nothing wrong with that ....logic.
We do so unto anything less than ourselves.
We do so unto each other.

One third of heaven lost there positions over that argument.
They want us dead.
Two thirds of heaven lost their brothers for that argument.
They might not care.

And to whom do we bear resemblance?

Your Biblical quoting and interpretation on works on those already holding your position, not those that do not. Still no logical argument. All you have shown is divine command theory, God said X, some said no to X, God got angry and throw a fit.
