Perhaps a reduced federal role would help in this regard.
Do Americans have enough in common to hold together as a nation? Isn't the South pretty much an oddball when compared with the rest of the nation?
And if that censorship doesn't work, we can try re-education camps.Getting rid of some talking heads would greatly help with national unity. That is, there are a few conservative and liberal talk show hosts that get otherwise peaceful folks in a frenzy, ready to repeat the bile they hear on the radio rather than participate in helpful and constructive debate.

Holy moley, Zephyr and I actually agree on something! =OCan America hold together? Hopefully not.
Agreed. It's been failing at least since the world wars, and probably before then.america is a failing empire, period.
Corporate Christian Theocracy? I wouldn't be worried about that. Religion is slowly dying down here. Most "Christians" these days just claim to be Christian because that's how they were raised (and sometimes because they want to be viewed as good people. Happens a lot in politics). More and more people are getting upset with the hypocrisy in their religion and heading towards atheism. Eventually God will be just a far distant memory that no one cares about anymore D=.and the south in general, because i dont think my kind will be tolerated in the new corporate christian theocracy.

Didn't they try leaving once already? How did that work out?
Not anymore oddball than the northeast, northwest, southwest, midwest, west, the mid-Atlantic, Florida, California, Alaska, Hawaii, or North Dakota.
