Can anyone recommend a bible commentary?

I've been told John MacArthur but are there others?

I use biblehub for Christian commentary. I like to compare them.

For specific verses, search for them or use the drop-downs, then click "comment"

Many good ones out there. But as an Orthodox Christian, I would also recommend the writings of John "the golden mouth."

His homilies comment on just about everything in the Bible. Not exactly what you are asking about, but an invaluable resource. In Orthodox Christianity, he is the main go-to source.

Only 7300 pages lol.

Good luck.

Just go online to Theword.net and download the word bible software.

You can download loads of translations and commentaries and even compare them to each other in the programme.

It is free of charge

The Recovery Version of the New Testament with footnotes by the late Brother Witness Lee is my favorite
Bible with commentary among good ones. I have known of people who obtained one and could not stop reading the study notes until
late at night they were so intriguing. The New Testament portion only can be obtained free online

I bought another Bible to use with the one I've had for nearly forever as a study text. It's also available on Bible Hub along with many commentaries, but I like having the print in my hands. It's the Amplified Bible and has a lot of notes and extended text.

You can go from a study bible to multiple books. What are you looking for?
I already have a study bible but it's a New King James Version so is hard to read, my favourite version is The Message and then the NIV
