The Roman Catholics view Revelations as a description of the Heavenly Liturgy. Thus elements of it like the hymn Agnus Dei are found in the Roman mass and in liturgies based on it like the Roman Catholic Book of Common Prayer.
I think the Orthodox would agree with this, but also see it as an eschatological prophecy and a mystery requiring mystical contemplation. It is the one book of the Binle we don't read in church liturgically, but on the other hand, there is a famous monastery dedicated to St. John, on the Island of Patmos, built over the exact spot where legend has it John received the revelation. Metropolotan Kallistos Ware, one of our great 20th century theologians and apologists, after being baptized in the Greek Orthodox Church, was ordained a monk at that monastery, and remains a member, although he lives in Oxford as an auxiliary bishop for the Diocese that encompasses the UK.
