There are stealth ISCONis!
There are! They don't live in the temple usually, but I've known plenty who wear t-shirts and jeans rather than dhotis, and keep their hair in a conservative Western style.

I didn't realize my college professors were UU!
If someone looks like a huge *********, they're generally a Scientologist.
Examples:
Jesus Himself said that His disciples will be known by the love that they have for one another. It's what's inside us that comes out of us and we can't hide it all- good or bad.
When a person demonstrates sacrificial sincere caring and concern it's pretty easy to narrow it down. There are many religions and philosophies but not many based on love.
I can usually tell the ethnicity of the surname, but you can't always make assumptions based on that. A disappointing number of Armenians are Evangelicals, for instance.I know by name easily.
Whether it is by the way that someone dresses, speaks, looks or by the way they carry themselves. If someone never told you which religion they followed or belonged to, would you be able to tell a person's religion by just looking and interacting with them?
Why? What do you see as the distinguishing factor? If you would look at me, you would ether think I was a Jehovah Witness or a morman......It depress me really.
In lots of places, the people with all the kids are Catholic, and statistically speaking, that's not surprising.I can usually make an educated guess. Around here, for example, people with more than two or three kids are always mormons. Like my dentist. He has a family photo on the wall and has about ten kids.
