Hmmm... as HIV/AIDS is dependant on a living host what if you waited a few hours before you ate? Would cooking kill the virus if you made shure you cooked throughly.... Am I thinking about this way to much?

HIV/AIDS is not contracted form ingestion. I would recommend making sure not to cut yourself during the butchering process and to always (good idea any way) to cook your meat thoroughly. This is a life or death situation, I would rather have ten or more years alive than sure death!
