It's a picture of a black cat having an out of body experience. The out of body black cat crosses in front of the black cat having the experience. In other words the out of body cat crosses the path of the real cat having the experience and that is bad luck to have a black cat cross your path in some cultures. At least that's what I got from it.
That is just the cat's imagination working.
No real experience.
can we call it a satire? on zen?

That is exactly correct but when the real cat starts *THINKING* the awareness/consciousness is lost or cut off and so stated that his imagination is working and that is the other side of zen which means dhyana or conscious and so stated the following:
