I thought this was about Catholicism... Not about sex and head aches... >___>

It is... I don't know either why it has gone this way... And about the headache, well I said it because the way this thread goes, it gives me a headache!:p

No, I meant "Oh, bro..." ;)

Haha... it's just another English expression hard to translate directly.

Lawrence and krsnaraja, "Oh brother..." or "Oh boy..." is like in Tagalog, the expression, "Ay naku!" or "Haysusmaryosep!!" (Jesus, Mary and Joseph!)... except with dread or sarcasm.

I realize that, and I realize that there are some areas where the Church is growing, but I think it's in a decline overall in many ways: raw numbers, involvement, political influence... and I think the trend is increasing.

And I think you might be right. Whereas god-belief has remained fairly consistent, the organised religions do appear to be losing support, according to recent polls. It may be that people are just too busy in their modern lives for attending church, or it may be they don't see churches as necessary or fundamental to the concept of faith? Many churches in the UK have tiny congregations and struggle to keep their financial head above water.
