Dogs are obviously way better just because they don't pretend totally independent rulers of the world. Dogs will greet you when you get home and snuggle with you when you are sad. Cats don't care about your feelings, they are just concerned with are you petting them or not. But cats do give better massages. You just have to trick them into doing it.
