I don't buy it. Trump is a clear victim of relentless lawfare and even if he does go to jail once the fat lady sings, will make incredible history as being the very first president running the country while paying his debt to society.

You are confused. Trump has endlessly broken the law and those birds are finally coming home to roost. It is possible that he first ran due to a still ongoing audit of his tax abuse in the past. It is a pity that you have not followed his personal life and his standard modus operandi for dealing with lawsuits. When sued he rarely argued on merits. He would endlessly delay cases until his opponents ran out of funds and gave up. The US government does not tend to "give up" and even has more money for lawyers than Trump has.. Even you seem to know that Trump is guilty. If you truly believed that he was innocent you would be using rational arguments that would demonstrate his innocence instead of repeating mindless tropes.

It might be hard to show side-by-side comparisons .
Nobody has ever tried to overthrow the United States government in order to stay in power as president. EVER before. So no comparison can be made.
However, I personally believe that an example should be made; so that the plutocrats will stop trying to put brain-dead puppets like Trump and Shrub (Bush Jr.) into office.

Nobody has ever lied his way into the White House So Blatantly.
I will grant that almost all politicians either lie or at least make over the top promises that they know they cannot keep, in order to sway the vote in their favor. But as can be clearly shown, the Insurrectionist tries to completely alter the entire mindset and create a delusional false reality for his worshipers (often successfully).

Their cult consider fact checking to be offensive, and spewing “alternative facts” as a praise-worthy achievement.
