Certain of Trump’s far right supporters spark a wave of misogynistic abuse

It's bullying and even if meant as a "joke," it's pretty horrible. Is this making America great?
I agree. It's immature and helps nothing. I was just saying it is not going to affect anything and will be quickly forgotten so don't get so scared of 'misogynistic abuse'.

This stuns me. Is your "who cares" attitude an illustration of how disrespect for women and criminality has been normalized? MAGA means make America great again, but I would assume that meant a time when men were decent and respcetable. We are seeing the worst in MAGA men, and whether they actually assault or rape a woman is not the point. It's that these attitudes are being normalized and acceptable to society. If we were to see an increase in sexual assaults and rapes in coming years, would you be as indifferent? Is it just MAGA boys being boys?

Trump is highly influential, along with Fuentes, and it's unbelievable that these are male role models today. Real men are decent and respectful. Even if they are frustrated because they can't attract women, being respectful is what a man is. Anthing less is just boys trapped in a man's body.
I agree it was just immature taunting of the politically correct crowd. Helps nothing but is no big deal and will be quickly forgotten.

So is your attitude that respecting women and their rights is merely politically correct? I notice you avoided my point about normalizing this anti-social behavior. You certainly didn't deny it.

Except these people like Trump and Fuentes repeat these sorts of things frequently to their audiences. It doesn't get forgotten, it gets reinforced. That is what sick people do. And you seem to accept this. Is that what your spiritual path has taught you?

Trump would never say or even think anything that crazy. And almost no one has even heard of Fuentes.

Apparently you haven't seen enough of Trump. Haitians eating cats and dogs isn't crazy enough for you?

Irrelevant. And you still haven't shown any disdain for his disresect and vile attitude towards women. Do you think it's accepable? And he has a large following, so who he influences is significant.

You do know that he is also on the record for acting on that mindset, are you?
I am not a fan of Trump nor can defend what he says much of the time, if that is what you think. I was just doubting the OP saying there is going to be this wave of misogynistic abuse all of a sudden. No need for paranoia.

It is a big deal in my view because;
A) it's not a mere taunting, you have yet to demonstrate that
And
B) Even if it was a taunting saying rape is acceptable as some sort of sick joke provides cover for those for whom it is not a joke to say the same thing openly.

I remember as a young teen I used to make fun of Indians with another mate of mine. One day I married an Indian and when I did it my mate was shocked and like, "but dude, you used to make fun of Indians".

I realised at that point that it was only a joke for one of us and not the other for whom that taunting was motivated by real hatred.

I believe a similar scenario would apply to Fuentes and the rape crowd. Even if one of them is joking doesn't mean they all are. There are those who genuinely hate women - the whole incel movement being a classic example in my view and I only hope that if Fuentes is joking he has a serious wake up call and realises the kind of genuine hate he is helping to feed.

Do you think that there is no misandry involved in the anti-Trumpism movement?

There is. There are lots of misandric women who cannot stand alpha men. Self-confident men.

There is an equally irrational phobia behind anti-Trumpism as well.

Sure there is some, but I believe it is close enough to a negligible fraction of the movement.

Nah, not in my view, I believe that fearing having a man who is most probably a rapist and most certainly treasonous as a leader is not at all irrational. But you can keep playing sycophant to the tyrant if you wish in my view.

Trump gives me the idea of the shy man who timidly courts the women he is into.

I have had a considerable number of boyfriends, so I guess I know what men are like.

I think that banter on the bus with Billy Bush was nothing but....banter. Not to take seriously.

Trump gives me the idea of the man a court of law decided is most probably a rapist, nothing timid about rape and Trumps sycophants are sick for lying about him in my view.

I don't need to be convinced by a jury.
Also because I am not a US citizen.

I am 100%, 1000% sure that he has never done anything inappropriate to a woman. I am not lying about him.

And by the way, remember I am from Europe, as Melania Trump is. We have a specific vision of the spiritual and emotional relationship between man and a woman. I believe she understands him perfectly.

So that's why she lives in New York and he lives in Florida? ;)
