You can't tell me if it was comparable or not because as you point out you don't know what I received.
You earlier claimed that you had received a "self-fulfilling prophesy based on what [you had] been conditioned to expect and experience for years."

That is not comparable to my experience. I did not want the Book of Mormon to be true because I did not want to go on a mission.

I received my witness after months of reading, praying and anxiety.
I've read the Book of Mormon several times, and I've concluded its a fake. No amount of fasting and praying is going to change that. The evidence against it and Joseph is too great. Too bad.
Then we are going to have to agree to disagree because the more I read it the more sure I am of its truth and I have seen no convincing evidence against it or the Prophet Joseph Smith.

I believe you saw what you wanted to see in this "evidence" and just came to the conclusion that you wanted.

That's my take on it.

God bless.

Reading my mind again?

I believe you believe it's true because that's what you want and you ignore the evidence against because you can't rationally evaluate it. I'd be happy to have a one on one debate about the evidence for and against the BoM.

Reading my mind again?
I was clearly sharing my opinion about what you said when I said, "I believe you saw what you wanted to see..."

I made no claim to actually "knowing" what was in your head or that you had lied. Both of which you have done to me.

So, no, I made no claim to reading your mind. I am stating my opinion about what you have said.
I believe you believe it's true because that's what you want and you ignore the evidence against because you can't rationally evaluate it.
I suppose you are calling me a liar again because I emphatically stated that I did not want that book to be true.
I'd be happy to have a one on one debate about the evidence for and against the BoM.
Knock yourself out.

I have not called you a liar. If you're going to resort to name calling then there's no use talking to you. Too bad. I was looking forward to eviscerating you in an actual debate.

On the other thread where you and I are currently engaged in discussion (http://www.religiousforums.com/threads/lds-church-lgbt-hate-the-sin-love-the-sinner.183481/page-2), you said in post #36,

"We all know who Brigham Young labeled the descendants of Cain. You can play coy if you like. I don't buy it."
If you're going to resort to name calling then there's no use talking to you. Too bad. I was looking forward to eviscerating you in an actual debate.
When did I "resort to name calling"?

Would you mind providing an example of when I did that?
