Charlie Hebdo to attack Muslims again

Because by making that caricature and now making it come forth again, does not lead to any good. It only lead to more turmoil.
Well, they should get used to it. And being scared of turmoil, is like asking them to go ahead with their arrogance and violence.

this is the west. And in the west we have freedom of expression, and the freedom to make fun of virtually anything. If they do not like it, they should leave the west. It is as simple as that. I am sure nobody is forcing people to stay here.

after all, since I do not approve the chopping off of gays heads, or thieves hands, I do not go to Saudi Arabia. Unless I accept their customs, even if they offend me.

In my own research of Islam and speaking with my girlfriend and people in the mosque, I hold my u understanding as it is, but I see that your version can be right too

I suggest an experiment.
Go to Saudi Arabia or alike and go stand on a public square telling bypassers that "Jesus is god, praise the lord!". See what happens. And what you're charged with.

That is just your opinion. Other people hold different opinions.

I for one, think the subject of islamic terrorism is pretty important.
And neither you, nore I, nore any islamic mullah or terrorist, gets to decide what the folks over at Charlie Hebdo have to find important enough or not to make cartoons about.

Yes it's my opinion that offending religions by cartoons is nonsense, you may think differently.

I guess my only choice is to take my Girlfriend and go back to her home country then. Even we going to live a peaceful life we are no longer welcome in your beloved west?

Why would I do that? First of I have nothing to do in Saudi Arabia, and I am not stupid, so I would not offend others with a comment like that if I did not mean it as a believer.

Well, everyone is welcome in my home. But if they do not like what I do with it, or how I live in it, they have two choices.

accept anyway what they see. Or leave. For sure I am not going to allow them to change my habits, or else.

isn’t that normal?

In my opinion, yes we should all stop the blasphemous speech about any religion.

Then you will have to deal with the christian thing, as the very core of christian beliefs is inherently blasphemous in context of islamic belief.

See, every religion has its own special rules and they are in conflict with one another.
This is why secularism works. Because it favors none and pushes them all essentially into the private sphere.

This is why a muslim doesn't get to complain if I eat pork chops in a restaurant at the next table.
This is why a hindu doesn't got to complain if I eat beef.

It's also why a satirical magazine gets to make drawings about whatever the heck it wants.
It may be in poor taste, some might take offense, some might feel insulted,... and that's fine.

They get to exercise their free speech about their religion just like charlie hebdo gets to do the same.
It's a two way street. Those who can't deal with that... though luck. There's always Iran to move to.

You don't seem to understand that the intolerant in this story, are NOT the folks at CH.

To say a muslim is taught that Jesus is a prophet and then say to a Christian, that it is good if they see Jesus as Gods son, is in my understanding not blasphemous, because it is different teaching and a muslim is ok to acknowledge Christians as follower of the Bible.

Interesting.

For a muslim to say jesus is god, it is blasphemy.
When a christian says it it's okay.

We can draw a parallell here....

For a muslim to draw muhammed, it is blasphemy.
For a non-muslim cartoonist to draw muhammed, it is okay.

Glad we sorted that out.

Why would I do that?

Because you seem in denial.

First of I have nothing to do in Saudi Arabia, and I am not stupid, so I would not offend others with a comment like that

So you acknowledge that expressing the core of christian religious beliefs, is an offending to muslims.
Interesting. Especially considering you have been denying exactly that all this time.

if I did not mean it as a believer.

I assure you that it wouldn't matter if you actually are a christian or not.

Yes, and here we have freedom to express ourselves freely, and make fun of virtually anything. So, yes, take or leave it. If you, or anyone else, are too soft, and you cannot take it, you should leave.

should I renounce my freedom, because some believer in a God providing shuttle service to prophets in the form of flying horses, or some other nonsense, might kill me?

I have not said such a thing. But I respect Muslims believe, and have no need to tests their limit. To me each person can have their religious belief. I don't mind anyone being muslim, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist or any other belief.
