ASked my wife about this, she has talked to a few on mainland, and although them not knowing about this is not proof it is false, at this point I am not sure the OP and the helmet claim is true. Although China's with human rights record, I would not be surprised, but to be honest, at this point I am not sure it is true either.
Question, how hard is it to take a helmet off quickly and throw it away before you desert? Not hard at all, and I'm pretty sure it is not bolted to thier heads.
However it is still possible that this is true, I do not know, jury is still out on this one
Any reasonably fair minded person, unlike
some of our prejudiced posters would not
immediately assume it was true.
Aside from the obvious thing about discarding
the helmet, there's the fog of battle, people unaccounted for.
Serious logistical problem, trying to keep track
of MIA soldiers and figuring just when to detonate the helmets.
If a person wanted to get a mutiny
started, those helmets would work great.
A thread like this one is great for smoking
out the racists, including those who protest
too much.
