Literal violence upsets you. But what about historical drama depicting literal violence such as war movies. You enjoy seeing that? graphic accounts in a movie of torture that was imposed on war victims? Would a movie like that upset you? What about death? The coronavirus isn't necessarily the greàtest way to die. They say it's not pleasant. Would you enjoy seeing a "fictionalized" account let's say in a cartoon of someone dying of the coronavirus? Or someone being ripped apàrt by a bear?

I doubt it. Myself, my art is very dark, morbid, amd vioent. But my art amd my general demeanor or two completely different things. I've even worked with kids. And I know another who is disturbingly violent as an artist, but also works with kids. HR Giger created the Xenomorphs of the Alien movie franchise, along with other very dark, disturbing, and sexual images, but was a different person inblife from what I've learned. And then there is Marilyn Manson/Brian Warner. Marilyn Manson was the Anti-Christ of the mid and late 90s. Brain Warner, the man behind the gimmick, is a boring, bland, dull, plain Jane prude.
Sure, a few overall probably do also enjoy violence, but that I find that curious as it suggests a lack of empathy amd mental illness.

Schindler's List had me sobbing throughout because of it depecting overall a "close enough" portrayal of those events. Other than that, the closest I've seen to a war movie is Full Metal Jacket (somewhat upsetting a couple times) and Forest Gump.

So let me ask you this. You find, let's say, beauty in nature such as a mountain or birds as dull and boring, but would find a shark ripping apart a person thrilling, wonderful and worthy of imitation in art or games, is that it?

Something like Happy Tree Friends, its basically woodland critters in a slapstick comedy that is very violent and graphic. Three Stoogies type of comedy, but with animated moose and squirrel guts.
Or it can be still getting like gallows humor, which can go a very long way in coping with and overcoming hardships and difficulties (think of the corona virus homor thread here).
As for making it, there is exploring such things in a safe way. Things you can't really do, but you can pretend. Sometimes it can be an expression of emotion.

I will admit, animal abusers are my exception. Such as, a picture of a matador being gored up his bum to be hysterically funny because I find killing for game and sport in such a way to be truly worthy of being called evil. I tend to not hate people. In my eyes there is nothing lower than an animal abuser (on par with those abuse children, the elderly, the infirm, and other vulnerable and defenseless populations).

I can't speak for roosters. I am not a farm girl, I was born and raised in the city. The article link down below describes the cockfighting industry and breeding. I know there are occasions for people to get together in cities to see cockfights. Only once did I see a wrestling match, boxing perhaps is on a similar level. I just wanted to see what it was like. I found it ridiculous, stupid and disgusting, I couldn't believe it had so many "fans." But then there are mud fights, too, and frankly I believe they pander to a certain group of people. Never went again, I was young and naive and I wanted to see what they were really like.
I saw a bullfight when I visited Spain. Also stupid, vicious, and disgusting, but many love them, obviously, or else they'd go out of business. I feel similarly with horse and dog racing, but not to that extent because the horses and dogs are not gored to death by their owners, they're just often run to death. (Disgusting.) And I'm not an animal rights activist, just saying how filthy I think these things are on a relative scale.
I find what I have learned about cock fighting particularly deplorable, setting them up to kill each other while vicious bloodthirsty people enjoy watching them mutilate each other. (Filth.)

I look forward to the time that men and animals will get along in peace, men will not abuse animals, and animals will not kill men. That is what the Bible says, and I believe it will happen. I also look forward to that time when there is peace among man and animals. But that won't happen till the Millennium. I am not for cruelty to animals. I just recognize that the animal world is cruel and unforgiving. Have you ever watched a cat play with it's prey for a long time before he kills it and eats it. It's cruel, but he is just being a cat.

I used to free range chickens. I tried to have enough hens for the amount of roosters that I had. Usually about 8 hens for a rooster. I would even separate them at first, a rooster with it's group of hens and would turn them lose under a different tree. The old saying, chickens have come home to roost, is true. In evening they will always return to where they started. But, eventually, one by one, a rooster would be killed by another. In the end you always have just one rooster. A friend once brought over a rooster in a cage as he was trying to get rid of it. I left it in the cage hoping for other chickens to get used to him. But once my free rooster spotted him, they were fighting through the cage. I could run my rooster off, but it didn't matter. He was right back and they were going at it to the death...through the cage. So, you either turn the other lose and let em have at it, winner take all. Or you have chicken for supper.

Again, I don't enjoy watching it. but I know it is going to happen. Scripture tells us, "A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast" (Pro. 12:10) So I'm not for cockfighting or dog fighting either. It is a cruel sport.
