I agree. Obama just announced 30000 new troops for Afghanistan. I hoped he would send them into Pakistan.

pakistan cannot be invaded. the UK and the rest of the commonwealth cannot invade one of their own members so the US would have to go it alone and that would stretch their resources to breaking point. running 2 wars at once is a f**k up so how bad would it be with 3?

I disagree with your rather naive conclusion, Why are there no neanderthals left, why did cromagnon win?

Simple neolithic agrarian cultures such as most of the middle east is, cannot compete with more advanced civilisations, unless they dont compete, in which case they do survive because they are ignored. But a guy called Bin Laden decided it would be good for the goat herders to advance so he declared war on one of the main countries that introduced the bill of rights, human equality, and democratic process, in total contravention to Islamic ideals. It is evolution, humans really have little say. This war will last for quite a while yet. 99% of the planet is not going to regress to the islamic crap of these camel drivers. so its war to extinction as it has always been.

The cowboy who fluked being the US president, really went down the wrong track and that has delayed the goal and will cost thousands of US and allies lives, Obama is not going to waste the blood of those who have died, without giving it one last good shot.

To me the real weapon in this conflict will be the internet. Where Afghani people them selves for the very first time can actually get some truths instead of lies. But have they got the balls to stand up and wipe the Islamic plague from their midst. Maybe maybe not. They all seem pretty gutless.

I am fully aware that most were Saudis but even Saudi Arabia would execute them on site, but Afghanistan accepted and fostered them. The culture is what must be destroyed ie the destination not the originn.

What is your argument. That Sharia law is great and democratic that these morons are gods gift to humanity what are you saying? Who are the morons in all of this? What I'm saying is that there was not a shred of evidence that led us to believe that people in Afghanistan had anything to do with 9/11. That an investigation never took place before invasions and occupations took place, and what little investigation did take place did not point to Afghanistan nor Iraq. That western involvement in the middle east has zero to do with 9/11 and everything to do with wanting to control their resources.

Maybe a few, or rather several years ago this would have been good. But being this long after 9/11, the large amount of rescources and personell that Iraq has consumed, and the fact that Bib Laden has had plenty of time to find an even better hiding spot that might not even be in Afghanistan anymore, makes me doubt any good can come from this. But then again, Obama did say he'd get troops out of Iraq. While that may be happening, he didn't say anything about Afghanistan.
