I believe that assent to the beliefs held in the Nicene Creed is minimal for an organisation.
and thats senseless, because the whole point of that "creed" was to change things and sweep stuff under carpets.
The reverse is true; only denominations prior to such distortions are optimally valid.
Its always strange to listen to somebody arguing in favor of the caustic entropic rotting
of the original paradigm.
he Catholic Church and Orthodox trace their lineages back the furthest.
So...
Catholic/Orthodox
Oriental Orthodox
Groups that can claim apostolic succession: Lutherans, Anglicans etc. "High" protestants
Groups that reject apostolic succession but accept the Nicene Creed
Groups that do not accept the Nicene Creed(Not Christian organisations any more, though the members may be individually)...
very good information, great work.

Yes, i have done that, but this is a socratic method thread.
Ahh... you are trying to teach something... Instead of being frank about it,
I have been completely frank, and completely transparent.
I'm not trying to teach, I'm trying to lead a conversation and determine what the participants of the forum do in fact know.
teaching may happen in many different directions, but that would be incidental.
you asked questions to which you claim to already know the answers... I though I was aiding someone who genuinely wanted to learn about the history of the Church...
You would be aiding people, not me, who wanted to learn.
If that is not enough for you then clearly the issue is yours.
I hope that you will reconsider, there is nothing unfrank or etc about my post or this thread, and its clear that you have some knowledge.
