Christianity in comparison to the Ancient Egyptian Religion/Mythology?

Dinami

One life. One chance.
Somehow they are very similar. The belief in life after death; punishment for sins; conception and the virgin birth of Horus; Ancient Egyptian festival celebrating the birth of Horus on 25 December etc You can search it. I'm really confused now. Is Christianity really based on this?

Well a lot of christian practices and ceremonies come from all sorts of paganism, Christmas is in December because in Roman times a big festival called saturnalia was held in honour of the roman God Saturn around thenish and Christmas was put at that date to stop people celebrating saturnalia, but most faiths pinch bit's from other faiths so it doesn't make us less authentic x
