I chose "My brother" although that is a tiny bit of a loaded statement to make. To me, the Joyous Nazarene is more a great friend. Unlike Christians, I don't consider him my savior, but I do consider him a source of inspiration, hope and dare I say, bliss.

Please respond to the poll and then explain your answer! :)

I believe Jesus Christ is my brother because I believe his words in the bible. He calls God his Father about a zillion times (maybe a few less than zillion) and he says that we are children of God. I believe Jesus Christ told the truth.

we are all Gods Children and Jesus is the only begotten but still one of his children, that make him my brother...

I would see Jesus as my brother since He is the Son of God and that when ever Jesus spoke to God he referred to him has "abba" meaning Father so he's my bro makes sense?

Oh, my thread is back! What a nice surprise! Well, I'm going to say he's both. I have to leave now, so I can't explain my answer at the moment. Most LDS are going to think I've lost my mind, though, so I will eventually post an answer.

Haha, your answer is funny to me because after I read the OP, I was anxious to see what the LDS put. ~

Jud (Judas) 1:11
(11) Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah.

Mat 10:21
(21) And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

How Could Christ Love Christians?

Still waiting for an Answer coming, why Yeshua would accept someone who says it is acceptable to murder him, and then to be claiming friends or family?

Neither... I don't have any comparison terms for my relationship with God. It's certainly above brother... father is closer, but not close enough...

I replied "Both" - because that is how I understand it. I believe that we are all part of "God" - if God is the Alpha and the Omega, without him, there is nothing - so we are all "of God".

If God is the Father, we are all children -- most by adoption. That would make Christ, the Son of God, our brother.

Jesus is my God. The family metaphor in the New Testament really isn't translated well into our culture, because the familial relationships between siblings or child-parent is so radically different.

In the NT families, siblings and offspring were completely dependent on the elder sibling or parents for everything. Also, friends were the same way... the one with wealth or power would completely control the life of the weaker "friend," exactly as the people related to their God - they had to worship their friends, parents, or siblings to get what they needed out of life.

So I'll say that Jesus is my God, the heart of the original metaphor.
