Pretty straight forward question, no?
Asking questions is not the same as having no faith. And whose losing? It was just a question. You sound like quite the programmed one.Question your religion is like questioning your faith, questioning your faith is disbelief and disbelief is a sin, sorry you lose.
You sound like quite the programmed one.
Thats the point. Most Christians today are so programmed that their afraid to question their beliefs.
Ooh, okay, so I assume you were being sarcastic?
It is not a SINIs it a sin to question your own religion and the authorities within it?
Years ago when I was part of the Catholic church, they told me doubt was a good thing and that it would eventually strengthen my conviction for the religion.
They seemed to take an approach where doubt and questioning were good unless I came the conclusion that they were incorrect (which I did). Then it was no longer ok.
Just a guess, here, but I think they meant that it's good to be skeptic of everything. Skepticism often leads to research into the truth of everything, wich leads to enlightenment, which leads you to being closer to God. The path of the skeptic.
On the other hand, t's also good to have faith in things we need to have faith in. Like the NT, Jesus, and God.The path of the faithful. But it really doeesn't take much research to realize that the NT is more rock solid than anything else that claims to know different, like the Koran. There is no reason at all for me to have doubt about those things. They probably would want you to come to the same conclusions as them about the truth via on your own path.
No, it's not.
Thats the point. Most Christians today are so programmed that their afraid to question their beliefs.
Nothing wrong at all, there is no progression if there is no critical thinking.
