I was thinking about the difference between condemnation and conviction. Satan condemns us, and the HS convicts us.

How do we practically know when we are being condemned or when we are being convicted?

Is there any way to distinguish between the convicting work of the HS and the condemning work of satan?

Yes when a Christian is convicted by the HS there is no mistaking it, You just know He isn't playing around .....but satan, well we are wise to his devices and if you listen to the HS you will know the difference.....

Scripture says he is the accuser of the brethern, I take that as accusers of the believers.....He desires to fool us why bother with those that don't believe that would be a waste of time......His time is short, you know that don't you? :run:..............He is busy running to and fro.....

Yes, its satan who does the accusing. He roams around looking for some unsuspecting soul to devour.

There is the scripture in the bible that says godly sorrow leads to repentace. But worldy sorrow leads to death.

So if satan condemns us, and we feel guilty by his condemnations, it will lead to ungodly sorrow, which only leads us towards death. He attempt to deaden our senses towards our father, and muddy our relationship with god.
