Christopher Hitchens (1949-2011)

Although this isn't my DIR, I was a fan of Christopher Hitchens and am sorry to hear he didn't make it. I loved his wit and sarcasm, and how he bravely confronted the stupidity and bigotry within religion. I trust that others will carry on his work.

Very sad. This is the first I've heard of it. I may not agree with everything he says but have always admired him for his sharp mind, persistence and courage. He will be missed.

Sad news. I appreciated his quick wit, even though he did use it to skewer some ideas I value. He faced death with grace and courage.
