Church of Christ: Regrettable choice

Again... it was not so much directed at "them", but at the stereotype of what many believe "them" to be.

It's not a stereotype if it's true. Re-read what Jerry Falwell said right after 9/11/01. Many denominations in the US preach and practice exclusion and discrimination.

The people opposed to this ad seem to be upset that it's telling the truth. Sort of the same reason some people hate Michael Moore.

The notion of religious ads, except for announcing time and place for Sunday worship, is not even ridiculous to Swedes, just not imaginable.

Visit the cathedral of Saint Paul in Saint Paul, Minnesota. There is a Catholic organization that physically obstructs the aisles so openly gay people cannot receive communion.

I thought we were discussing going into a church I didn't know we were talking about all of what goes on inside them...I imagine in that case not even the Church of Christ will have all people who do not turn up their nose at somene elses behavior in some way. People are too opinionated to not have at least one person to comment about something that differs from themselves. As for geting into gay issues if it's all the same with you I won't go there...I believe if you can't say something good say nothing at all in certian cases.

I believe we are talking about the need for such an advertisement. And that would include behaviors and procilivities within a church.

I like the ad....if nothing else, it has made the other Churches stop and think about what they do. That is a start.
