I am curious what the system requirements are, but I suspect its very similar to Civ V. I could be wrong, but my understanding is that it has been put together by the same team.

Haven't played it myself, but I've watched hours of game play. Graphics have been a concern for some, not me personally. I enjoy the new style. It makes the world feel much more alive. The new civics tree is much better than the old social policies. I think it makes for a much more customizable play style. Nukes are a lot more devastating. One nuke has the ability to utterly obliterate anything in its radius. Yes, this means it can take out two cities in one go. There have been a number of complaints over the game play being sluggish, and the tech tree being too fast. Can't say much about that since I haven't experienced it first hand. Honestly overall I enjoy what I've seen so far. It looks like an excellent new addition.
 
Downloaded it, but not played it much yet.

Don't really like the cartoony graphics, preferred the old style, but there are some nice touches. Tend to get used to these things pretty quickly though.

Gameplay seems like you have a lot more options and requires a bit more strategic planning. Barbarians are 'smart' now and have scouts who scope out the best places to attack or pillage rather than randomly wandering about on suicide missions. Cities can expand over multiple tiles, citizens need housing for growth, also more diplomatic options.

Looks like a bigger change than from civ 4 to civ 5 with greater complexity which is (hopefully) a good thing. Will definitely require a different paying style.

I like all of the civ games though so imagine this one will be good too. Will give it a bash tomorrow.

I'm a freeciv diehard.
Don't really care about graphics, as my imagination overrides them anyway.
I also impose rules on myself to make the game harder like: no city improvements, must win as a despot, must always declare war on everyone.
Not allowed aircraft, no buying of cities.

I especially like freeciv because you can slow the tech advancement 100x so that you make your first advance by the year 2500.
You can also start the game with any amount of advances already learnt.
Can have any size world with up to 42 nations out of a possible 555 choices.

Then I build up one massive empire, and reload as a single backward city-state and try and win it from there.
You can change it so much with such flexible rules.

I killed my laptop with a cup of coffee earlier this week, and it will be next week before the components for my new desktop come in.

I started with Civilization 2 20 years ago on the original PlayStation. I can't wait to try this one.

I spent maybe 10 hours on it so far. Going on my second game. I find it very enjoyable. The graphics are nice but I did have to get used to the newer leader models which are a bit cartoon-ish.

I finished my PC last night and downloaded the game; managed to spend about 10 minutes looking around on this morning before work- I'm going enjoy learning the mechanics of this one. It looks like they made a lot of changes.
