When TSA agents find that travelers have a lot of cash,
they alert DEA agents to take it. Because if you have
cash, it's possible that you got it illegally. In effect,
it's illegal to carry cash.
The Institute For Justice (a bunch'o libertarians) has
long been fighting this. Viral videos of DEA agents
robbing travelers made a real impact.
Excerpted....
The Justice Department has ordered the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to suspend most searches of passengers at airports and other mass transit hubs after an independent investigation found DEA task forces weren't documenting searches and weren't properly trained, creating a significant risk of constitutional violations and lawsuits.

Good for the Justice Department. Hopefully the DEA will change their ethos from one of robbery to one of protection. The TSA also needs to change, that or be replaced by something a lot better.

Not likely to be any reform when
Trump takes the reins again.

Could have fooled me. It sure looks like your prediction here.
You've all sorts of prognostications about both Trump & Harris.
Just don't like it when other people converse & speculate, eh.
You ignore Trump's authoritarian bent.
Many others won't.

BTW....
