There's one lesson that, no matter where you went to school or what type of degree you got, everyone has been taught: the importance of kindness. While conversations surrounding being kind were par for the course in preschool, kindergarten, and elementary school as a whole, verbiage surrounding the topic seems to dwindle as age goes on. But make no mistake: there's arguably nothing more impactful than being kind. But in case you've forgotten, we rounded up dozens of kindness quotes to inspire you to move forward in the world as kindly as possible.

There are so many ways to extend kindness in your life. Kindness can be intrinsic (such as with a loving kindness meditation) or extrinsic; it can come in the form of positivity, patience, reassurance, or a helping hand; it can cost you money or be entirely free. Because of this, anyone anywhere has the capacity to be kind. As wonderful as it is to be kind to your family, friends, neighbors, and loved ones, it's just as important — if not even more so — to be kind to complete strangers. After all, you never know what someone's going through or just how much a random act of kindness could turn their day around.

Cheers!

If you are a religious person, turning to the Bible in times of struggle might come naturally to you, too. If reading Bible verses for inspiration, looking to Bible verses about anxiety, or saying prayers to help ease anxiety has helped you in the past, knowing there are Bible verses that address depression could be helpful as well. Memorizing, reciting, or reflecting on these verses could be a great addition to seeking mental health counseling from professionals. No matter what, knowing that God loves you just as you are, regardless of what you are feeling or experiencing in life, is the most important thing. Here are 18 Bible verses to remind you of just that.

All the best!
