Yes, but the cat isn't woven into the fibre. And the weight of the cloak is measured without the cat.

Mine is a winter cloak. About 1/8" wool, with a cotton lined interior. I don't mind the calf draft lol.

I'm not exactly sure what it weighs though. Heavy enough to have broken 2 closures.

Didn't look that thick. So, not so light as I have thought.

Mine is made of more than 12 m² of what has been sold to me as "half loden", a thick wool fibre.
Here's a close up of the lap seam. The thread is a mm thick and usually used for shoes:

That was an eyeball guestimate, I'll measure it tomorrow, because I'm actually curious now.

I stitched it myself, roughly after a medieval original. The tippet is not medieval but I had a bit of fabric left.

Honestly seeing a bit of cat hair on dudes is kind of a green flag these days. Cat dads are an attractive lot. Means they're more likely to understand and respect consent and boundaries that often comes with cats.

I try not to assume sloppiness. Its possible, but...

I've ended up going places in my pajamas(wasn't planned for) because my kid had a mental break and needed to leave immediately. I also keep shoes in the car in case we're not able to get shoes on feet during the chaos. I understand most don't have so much chaos going on, but its caused me to feel I probably don't know what's going on with other people.

Though I still turn up my nose when people go out in their underwear...(that seems to be happening more and more).

in an emergency situation. I've been in both
such and didn't arrive looking ready an audience
with the Queen.

Generally though a slob self identifies as such.
