More hype than substance. I've seen better Godzilla movies (and I'm talking about the ones made in the 60s and 70s). Overrated!

I can't get multi-quote to work, but I can't believe I've seen people say The Host is better than Cloverfield.

I was seriously considering rising up against my bro and slaying him for renting it.

By the way, I never watched The Blair Witch Project so I have no basis for comparison.

:p

I heard they were coming out with a toy, maybe it will include that "authentic-stealth-action" that was featured in the movie.
Maybe in the sequel they'll have the Power Rnagers or Voltron come in to save the day. That's waht usually happens when the military can't stop a giant monster attacking the city. :p

I have to also say that I was a tad dissapointed with the way the monster looked. Wasn't particularly scary looking IMO.

I thought the monster was going to come around the corner with a Dorito truck hanging out of its mouth.

When this came out, I wanted my $2.50 back. I went to see it at a discount theater. It wasn't even worth that.

My husband and I went to see it earlier this evening. We left about twenty minutes into the movie, mostly because we both were starting to get headaches and nausea. Seriously, I couldn't have watched the whole thing. I would have ended up being sick for days.

Let's see...it's promoted as a cross between the Blair Witch Project and Godzilla. Two of the worst movies in quite some time.

No thank you.

The trailers give the appearance of someone saying "Look! I have a cellphone camera!". Sounds like a gimmicky Aronofsky flick.

edit: yes, Aronofsky. That overhyped directer who gave us pi, requiem for a dream and other such movies based upon just that....gimmicks. I'd rather watch a John Ford movie.

I saw this movie. It didn't impress me. I actually got my money back. I got sick and threw up in the theater. It was really bad.
