Why is it lame?

Well, the production value, for one example. As that video showed, the facial expressions of the characters seldom change while they are 'talking.'

This reminds me of a show I enjoyed as a lad, Speed Racer. I watched a couple of episodes again recently and, nostalgia aside, were a bit lame (though I still enjoyed them). :)

Go Speed Racer, Go Speed Racer, Go Speed Racer, Go!

And the show has always stuck with me, in that when I some someone driving fast/unsafe, I still, to this day, think and sometimes say out loud, "they think they are Speed Racer or something.'

Better was....

Think of Star Trek with more hair & fleas.
Michael Dorn & Roddy McDowell voiced the bad guys, Nebula & Rhesus 2.
I probably would have liked it...but it fell in the period of my life when I was no longer watching TV with my son, and it never showed up on channels that I was watching...

But did you enjoy it?
I must've. But it wasn't as positively memorable
as other cartoons, eg, Betty Boop, Rocky & Bullwinkle,
Looney Tunes, Tex Avery.
Because of Looney Tunes, I need a regular fix of listening to...
