Coming back as Sunstone

The way I see it, it doesn't really. It is even one reason why we sleep: to become someone else as we awake. ....

Yes. I agree, just as I aspire to wake up as Sunshine. Alas.

(Joking)

Mostly because your brain lacks the neural learning that would sustain such a role, I think.

Yeah. Probably, neural networking begins the morning by telling us beneath our conscious mind "Dude you are Atanu". They control all processes and the intellect too. And it must be true for all.

Why? You know about the neural network thing so well.
Do you expect me to pretend to lack basic understanding of how the brain works or else be perceived as an arrogant know-it-all?

Okay then. I do not care what you think, since you make a point of being unreasonable.

Have a nice day.

Please do not take offence. I am trying to make a logical point and there is nothing personal about it.

I am trying to find out how on one hand we can believe that it is the neural network that controls our cognition-intellect process, and on the other hand, also hold that we have power of objectively arriving at the truth?

"Like strangers in an unfamiliar country walking over a hidden treasure day by day,
We enter the world of Brahman while in deep sleep but never find it, carried away by what is false."

Approximate view of Vedanta is as below:

In deep sleep, senses are withdrawn into mind, which stands still and tranquil with no trace of desire. There is no world created by the mind. This is our pristine nature -- homogeneous, without a partition, dense consciousness. It appears as unconsciousness however, owing to absence of any contrast whatsoever. But there must be seer/knower of the deep sleep state, else how it is known "I slept nicely". One remains as the causal body that will sprout into dream and waking state movies, with a particular protagonist called by the name atanu.
