China Left in Shock Following Brutal Killing of Corgi During Covid-19 Disinfection

Two epidemic-prevention workers killed a dog and the whole country is brutal and sick? Huh?
A country is best judged by the way it treats its animals.
I think many in China are outraged givin the attention this has.
And yea, Communist China is severely brutal with animals.

I'm more concerned with how they treat their people.A country is best judged by the way it treats its animals.

True.I'm more concerned with how they treat their people.
Plenty to hate there.
I'm against excessive brutality . This was a pet owned by a family. It wasn't raised to be eaten. If that's the case then every country has been brutal and sick in my opinion. Just go to any factory farm, or anywhere where people hunt for sport, etc. It's amazing to me that people who are typically fine with brutal treatment of animals (not you necessarily, maybe you are consistent, I'd think you were as a Buddhist) bat an eye when one single dog is beaten.

Just what has been going on there with the Uighurs?
An anti-free enterprise tirade, eh.In this country freedom is all about we can do anything to animals we want to because the government is evil and stops people from doing what God wants them to do - be cruel to animals.
The only difference is that in China the government is doing it while here it's free enterprise cruelty.
.
In additional to national regulation...
Animal Welfare Act | Animal Welfare Information Center | NAL | USDA
....states also regulate treatment.

On what basis?Sure. But I can tell you that those laws are rarely enforced.
Well, they torture to death and eat dogs in parts of China in festivals so this is nothing when it comes to them.China Left in Shock Following Brutal Killing of Corgi During Covid-19 Disinfection

Because your statement conflicts
greatly with regulation where I live.

You've contradicted yourself. The dog's owner, a person living in China like the two workers, doesn't appear to have treated the dog brutally. By your reasoning, then China is a caring and loving country, the opposite of what you said since the owner didn't kill the dog and has actually provided food and shelter for the dog. You have just demonstrated that you are suffering from cognitive dissonance.I'm against excessive brutality . This was a pet owned by a family. It wasn't raised to be eaten.
This was clearly a sport killing and is a reason why it got the attention it did.
I'm not against killing for food, but against methodology that isn't nessesary when more humane means are employable.

I sense exaggeration. The point is regulation is one thing - enforcement is another and good behavior is something else again.
