After using many mice (<- Is that correct english?) I have developed a different preference with almost every program. Mice come in different kinds and I was curious what your preferences were..

So, Do you prefer a cord or cordless. A ballmouse, laser, optical? Normal mouse or trackerball? Touchpad?

Any leftmousers here? And are there complications on being left?

Leftie here, with a touch pad. Not too many problems as I have not changed the buttons around. The only problem I do have is when I switch to a cord mouse on a desktop, and have to use my right hand. Then I have to TRY to remember which button is which.

when i'm using normal programs cordless
when i'm using games with a cord (batteries always run out worst posible time)
when i'm drawing a touchpad/specific drawing touch pad
when i'm using my laptop its touchpad

i'm usualy using optical mouse's since i adapted my desk to prevent "blind spots"

I switch to left sometimes as well. I must say that it was hard in the beginning, but after a few times, It feels quite naturally..

Touchpads are terrible, i hate them. I have a wireless optical Trust mouse. The shape of the mouse is amazing, and so good. I have a little red light outta the bottom.

Also, mice is correct :)

I've used most all of them. Mice, trackballs, touchpads, tablets. I've even practiced a bit with a lefty mouse which was fun. It didn't take too long to get good with it. My preferred is a trackball, I use the Logitech with the ball under the right thumb. I used to be an AutoCADD drafter and used a tablet but when they went to the Windows version I switched to the trackball. It was much easier to get precision from the trackball than the mouse and if you had to move your hand away from the mouse it stayed put instead of being pulled out of line by the cord. This was way before cordless was available. While I've used many more, I still like the trackball best.

For AutoCAD/graphics applications, an optical mouse is best for me. they don't give us any wireless ones here at work. I have a Logitech one that I really like, and my second machine has a Dell mouse that's OK.

At home, I have a bluetooth mouse for my laptop when I need to do graphics. Other wise I just use the touchpad. My desktop machine at home has a wireless trackball. I like trackballs for everything except drawing.

Own two laser mice. One wireless, one wired. One is for gaming, the other as a remote when running the computer as a TV.
